Research
My research addresses substantive questions in economic geography through the application of GIS methods. I focus mainly on the geographical dispersion of economic communities and the connectivity employed through the exchange of goods and services. I am also interested in methods of visually understanding social and geographic connectivity, especially social networks, spider maps, and cluster analysis. I would like to employ these methods to understand how communities (Craigslist.org/Community Currencies, LETSystems, etc,..) either prosper or break down.
