Curriculum Vitae

Research

"When you've finished your own toilet in the morning, then it is time to attend to the toilet of your planet, just so, with the greatest care" says Little Prince in The Little Prince of Antoine de Saint-Exupery. I believe that every person has to feel the same way about his/her "planet": homeland, natural resources, city, country, Earth...

My research interests include effects of anthropogenic factors on arid and semi-arid land ecosystems, particularly issues of soil and water resource use. For my Doctoral research I'd like to learn how it is possible to resolve ecological problems by mapping, characterizing, and analyzing side effects of mismanagement of soil and water resources in arid and semi-arid lands using Geographic Information Systems and Remote Sensing.
