Curriculum Vitae
Research
My work has developed along several lines over the past 20 years. One trajectory weaves a long held interest in the history of geographic thought and geographic methodology. I have been active in debates over spatial science and contributed methodologically to the spatial contextualization of regression models. I also have written on theories and methodologies tailored to the study of organizations. In a related vein, I have spent over a decade working on various topics informed by developments in critical social and cultural theory, especially poststructuralism. This work has examined issues of representation and identity, gender and race, and spatial ontology and epistemology. With my colleagues Sue Roberts and Oliver Fröhling, I am currently engaged in research on the globalization of civil society in Oaxaca, Mexico.
