Curriculum Vitae
Research
I am interested in the conservation and preservation of biodiversity throughout the world, which spans the disciplines of political ecology, conservation and biogeography. More specifically, my work focuses on the physical, biological and social components associated with protected area management. My current research is on sustainable "eco"-tourism in and around marine protected areas and the role community stakeholders play in developing policy, protecting livelihoods and preserving ecosystem integrity. I am also very interested in the development of alternative forms of pedagogy in a field based/expeditionary learning environment.
