Research

My research interests fall in the realm of political and cultural geography with a regional focus in Turkey and the Middle East. I spent last year ('05-'06) living in Ankara and Diyarbakir, Turkey tracing the impacts of state-sponsored development initiatives on the urban landscape of southeast Turkey.
