Research

Mrs. Ozkan received her M.A. degree in Economics from the University of Gaziantep in 2003. The topic of her dissertation was “The Macro economic effects of the European Monetary Union on the economic policies of Turkey and other candidates to the European Union”. She is a Ph.D. candidate in Economics from the University of Dumlupinar. Her Ph.D. dissertation focuses on Gender Economics in Turkey. She has been an instructor of University of the Gaziantep since 2003. Her first contact with the GRD department was in Summer 2007 when, as a Visiting-Scholar, she used spatial statistics to measure the degree of spatial interactions in the share of women in the labor force across Turkish regions.
